Call of the Shieldmaidens

about

This song is meant to be a call and response chant for all women so that we can feel stronger together and at the same time highlight our own unique, individual voices. This is why I used a simple instrumental background with mainly percussions and tagelharpa. The focus is the choir of powerful women's voices and the many different type of vocals, clean and harsh, representing all our awesome diversities.

lyrics

The lyrics are in a constructed language I invented, and in this case they are intentionally left very vague so they can be universal in their own way. I didn't want to use a specific real language or a blend of languages to create my own conlang and make this alienating. Let the sounds and vowels speak to you emotionally while you listen and sing along!
